PURPOSE

Provide clear, repeatable systems for managing service and install operations, ensuring next-day readiness, crew efficiency, inventory control, and consistent quality.


ROLE SUMMARY

The Service/Install Manager is responsible for:

  • Daily deployment of service and install crews
  • Next-day install readiness
  • Training and performance management
  • Warehouse and inventory oversight
  • Vehicle inspections
  • Job documentation compliance
  • Cross-department coordination

CORE PRINCIPLE

When not handling urgent service calls or emergencies, priority is always:

NEXT-DAY SUCCESS.  Service as well as Install

All available time must be used to prepare upcoming jobs and service calls.  This means checking materials in warehouse for service, checking lanes for installs, verifying payments for jobs, etc….

We should always be planning our next steps.  Looking ahead to next job, service call, training, report.  Stay ahead so we don’t get behind. 

JOB DOCUMENTATION STANDARDS

Every job must include:

  • Detailed notes
  • Photos
  • Materials used
  • Issues
  • Customer feedback

Manager audits daily.

Incomplete files are returned.

PERFORMANCE METRICS

  • On-time departures
  • Zero preventable delays
  • 100% staged installs
  • Complete job files
  • Reduced callbacks
