COMMISSION RATE
The Comfort Advisor earns 8% commission on sales. This is your base rate and applies to every job you sell, complete, and collect. Everything below defines how that rate is shared when others are involved in the sale, adjusted when GES incurs unplanned costs, and supplemented through quarterly bonuses.
COMMISSION QUALIFICATION
Commission is earned on jobs that are sold, completed, invoiced, and paid in full by the customer. A job that is incomplete, uncollected, or has an outstanding balance does not qualify for commission until all four conditions are met. Commission will not be processed on any job that has not been fully paid regardless of when the work was performed.
PRE-QUOTED OPPORTUNITIES
When a service technician has already provided the customer with an estimate for a specific scope of work, and the CA visits but is only able to sell what was already quoted with no additions or changes to the scope, the CA earns 0% commission on that job. The technician retains their standard commission.
If the CA adds new scope to an existing estimate — additional line items, upgraded equipment, IAQ add-ons, ductwork, or any other item not previously quoted — and the customer accepts, the CA earns 8% on the full invoice including the original quoted items.

| Reactivated lead · 30+ days · ISR closes | — | 6% | 2% | 8% |
CA closes first pass — CA runs the appointment and closes on the first visit without ISR involvement. Full 8% to CA. This is the standard and the expectation on every appointment.
CA closes with ISR involved — the customer did not commit on the first visit and ISR provided follow-up support to bring them across the line after a full 48-hour period. ISR earns 1%, CA adjusts to 7% to keep total at 8%. The 48-hour period gives the CA full opportunity to close the job independently before ISR involvement counts toward commission.
Tech flip · CA closes · no ISR — a service tech identified a system opportunity on site and facilitated the CA appointment. The customer is warm and already trusts GES. CA is expected to close these on the first visit — tech flips are the highest-converting leads in the business. Tech earns 2%, CA earns 8%. Total 10%.
Tech flip · CA closes · ISR involved — tech identified the opportunity, CA ran the appointment, but the customer did not commit and ISR was needed to follow up and close after the 48-hour period. Tech earns 2%, CA earns 7%, ISR earns 1%. Total stays at 10%.
Reactivated lead · 30+ days · ISR closes — a previously unconverted estimate that went cold for more than 30 days was reactivated and closed by ISR without a new CA visit. ISR earns 2% for bringing a cold lead back to life. CA earns 6% for the original visit and relationship. Total 8%.
RECOVERABLE DRAW
The Comfort Advisor receives a $500 per week recoverable draw against earned commissions. The cumulative draw balance is deducted from commission as it is earned. The draw exists to provide income stability – it is not a salary and does not change the commission structure.
DISCOUNT & ADJUSTMENT POLICY
When a competitive discount is applied to a job, the 3% cash/ACH/check discount does not apply – the competitive discount supersedes it entirely. The penalty formula runs on the full competitive discount amount.
Any other direct unplanned cost incurred by GES on a job – unplanned materials, subcontractor work, additional installer hours, or any expense not reflected on the invoice – is subject to the same adjustment formula.
Deduction = 15% × total competitive discount or unplanned cost
Example 1 – $10,000 job · 10% competitive discount
Commission at 8% on $9,000 = $720 · Penalty: 15% × $1,000 = $150 · CA net: $570
Example 2 – $15,000 job · unplanned drywall cost of $800
Commission at 8% = $1,200 · Penalty: 15% × $800 = $120 · CA net: $1,080
All deductions are documented and communicated to the CA before being applied. The CA may contest any deduction by demonstrating the cost was genuinely unforeseeable or was subsequently charged to the customer. Deductions above $1,000 require management review before being applied.
WORKIZ DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENT
Commission is processed based on Workiz job records. Jobs that are not closed out in Workiz with payment confirmed will not be processed in the current pay period regardless of when the work was completed. The CA is responsible for ensuring every sold job is accurately documented in Workiz including scope, equipment, pricing, and collection status.
PROGRAM ADJUSTMENTS
Gold Eagle Services reserves the right to audit, review, and adjust any commission calculation at any time if an error, discrepancy, or misclassification of scope is identified.
